FOR THE MOTORCYCLE LOVERS

Since the inception of this blog, I have only written about cars and I guess this has given the wrong notion that I do not like motorcycles. This would be a very wrong assumption because I love anything with an engine or some kind of motor on wheels. I actually planned on learning how to ride a motorcycle during this Christmas break, but based on one or two, I had to postpone my lessons.

Nigerian Bikers

I am sure almost everyone reading this blog has had Power Bikes overtake them, especially on the high way. You can not tell me you didn't enjoy the experience, hearing the sound of the engines from behind, then they suddenly ride pass at amazing speeds and disappear into thin air. I attended a wedding around this time last year and the groom happened to be a biker. All his friends came in their biker attires with their power bikes and escorted the couple from the church to the reception hall, that was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen at a wedding. I hope to recreate that with the LOML someday! Anyhoo, this episode will simply be about two motorcycles that give me butterflies.

1. THE KAWASAKI NINJA

Scene from the first Top Gun: Maverick movie

For anyone who has watched the first Top Gun: Maverick movie, I don't know if you remember the scene where Tom Cruise races a jet down the runway. If you do remember that scene or decide to check it out, the motorcycle used is a Kawasaki Ninja H2. Well, that scene was kind of an advertisement for the Ninja.

The Kawasaki Ninja is a brand of bikes made by Kawasaki two wheeler manufacturer in India. The Indians do not have the best of luck when it comes to car production as they are usually seen as copycats but for motorcycles, the story is a different one.

Kawasaki Ninja 400

Take a moment to look at the picture above and you would realize this motorcycle legit looks like a Ninja. In the next Cars movie, Ninja motorcycles should represent actual Ninja's because Kawasaki understood the assignment. The Ninja 400 also featured in the new Top Gun: Maverick. If I am ever getting a power bike, I am so going for the Kawasaki!

2. THE HARLEY DAVIDSON

Harley Davidson Cruiser

If you are not all about speed but looking for something to cruise around town and pick up bad bitches with, then the Harley is for you. The Harley Davidson was also used in a very popular movie, if your guess was Ghost Rider, then you are correct. Although, the Harley used in the Ghost Rider movie was customized to look like something from hell.

I have a friend who absolutely loves Harleys and has made me promise to get her one when I eventually blow. One beautiful thing about the Harley is that they have a category for all kind of motorcyclists. If you visit their website, there is a sport, adventure and electric section, among other sections for women and kids. There is literally a Harley for every type of biker.

Harley Davidson Breakout

Of all the Harley's, it was love at first sight with the Harley Davidson Breakout pictured above. I don't even want to go into the specs of the breakout, just take a look at that motorcycle and tell me you don't feel it too. Please share my blog posts, so I can eventually monetize this blog and make enough money to buy a Breakout.

Motorcycles are fun because they are way more engaging than cars. They can move through tight spaces at incredible speeds and you always get to enjoy the wind in them. Thank you for reading and always remember to Turbo that engine.

I understand this period is all about celebration and having fun but please do not drink and drive!
